Travel Directions:
From the intersection of Hwys 9 and 72 in Beiseker, go west 6.6 km on Hwy 72 to Range Road 264. Turn left (south) onto Range Road 264 (there is a sign for South Rock) and go 3.2 km to the intersection of Range Road 264 and Township Road 280. The site is on your right.

Remarks:
It was here that newlywed Ennis shoveled hot asphalt and dreamed of even hotter times up on Brokeback Mountain. Despite considerable effort, the location of this scene eluded many accomplished site finders until resourceful Lauren Gurney finally found it in June 2007.
