A deeply rewarding part of any summertime visit to rural Alberta is the profusion of wildlife that one encounters there. During the brief warm weather season, nature becomes so busy that it is almost impossible not to encounter bears, coyotes, moose, and deer. On a smaller scale, insects, flowers, and birds engage in their own seasonal rituals, with lovely results. Joe Ellington and Bob Sohomuch took these wildlife pictures in July 2007, at and around Brokeback filming locations, and have graciously agreed to share them here.
